Our friends at the NY chapter of ASMP are hosting a free event for all ASMP members during their monthly Town Hall.
This event will be on November 5, 2020 starting at 6 pm ET (4:00 pm Arizona time). It is free to members, but registration is required. You can find the link to register imbedded in the event page link posted here.
Join ASMP Tucson, Tuesday April 21st at 10am, Arizona time, for a Zoom event with Kevin Robinson of Black Dress Photography® on use of Capture One post-production/editing software.
Are you are just starting with, wondering about purchasing, or simply wanting to see what Capture One has to offer? Then this is the place to be, as Kevin starts you on the path to working with Capture One.
Beginning with navigating and customizing the Capture One interface, understanding the difference between sessions and catalogs, importing your photos, and more 101 to get you started. This will be the first in a series of working with Capture One, so be sure to join us!
* It would be best for you to participate on a computer versus a tablet or phone, as he will be sharing his screen and you’ll want to see the details.
Parts 2 and 3 will be on Tuesday May 5 and Tuesday May 19 at 10 am Arizona time.
By the way, there will be new meeting login identifications for each of the three instructional classes.
We are avoiding “Zoom trolls” by not publishing the login info publicly. Access the info in three ways: (1) look in your emails for an email containing this info (2) look on the ASMP Tucson Facebook group (if you have joined that group; it is closed to the public. You can request membership) or (3) email the ASMP Tucson board for it.
Thank you.

Photographer Jack Reznicki and IP attorney Ed Greenberg have been favorites in the industry for their no-bull, get-straight-to-the-facts approach to explaining and making sense of the confusing world of legal jargon and copyright technicalities. Through real world case studies, personal asides, and their clear, plain English speaking style, they’ve gained a following of photographers who have benefited from their sound advice over the years.
In this webinar, we’ll chat with Jack and Ed to debunk many of the myths about copyright that have spread among the creative community throughout the years. They’ll present the facts, plain and simple.
This free 1 hr webinar will cover:
What is copyright and why do you care?
Why registration is not just important, but critical
What to do and not to do when you’re infringed
Poor excuses we hear from infringers and their lawyers
Head fakes – What excuses lawyers use when their clients infringe
Things to consider when hiring a lawyer
*** In Tucson, this webinar will take place at 2 pm ***
